Stop Comparing Your Child With Other Children
"Look at your friend's child. He can already do this!"
Sounds familiar?
Sometimes, without even realising it, we compare our children with others. Marks, speaking skills, handwriting, confidence, behaviour — everything becomes a comparison.
But here's something we often forget.
A child who speaks late may be an excellent observer. A child who struggles with maths may have an incredible imagination. A quiet child may have a thousand beautiful thoughts in their mind.
Every child has their own pace, personality and potential.
Childhood is not a competition where everyone has to reach the same milestone at the same time.
Instead of asking, "Why can't my child do this?"
Try asking, "What makes my child special?"
Give them time. Appreciate their efforts. Let them explore their interests and discover their strengths.
Your child doesn't need to become someone else's child.
They need the confidence to become the best version of themselves.
Remember, a flower doesn't bloom faster because another flower has already blossomed.
Let your child grow in their own beautiful way.
